Master’s Thesis Project —
Dynamic Brand Identity —
Processing Community Day
To better communicate the characteristics of this event, I chose to create a dynamic visual identity where the static part will be represented by the color palette, the shape of the logo and the position of the logo in relation to the latter.
For the dynamic part, the brand will become a container ready to host the works of the various artists who realize their work through Processing.
Anyone will have the opportunity to customize it, uploading their work on the web that will then be drawn randomly from a database that will be constantly updated by the community, so as to involve it.
An identity that will evolve over time, with the aim of showing and keeping track of the evolution of creative coding and the variety of achievements offered by the software.
The images in the database can then be filtered by date, by author, by color or by geographical origin to ensure greater control of the visual identity.
The graphic part will be realized through a special generative algorithm that, varying in the rotation and in the dimension of certain graphic elements on a grid, also variable, will guarantee an unlimited quantity of graphic solutions, while maintaining a strong recognizability.
Since the event can take place anywhere in the world, to differentiate itself, each nation will be able to use a different color palette.
